Paddle east along the north
shore of Commencement Bay past the marina's and seal rookeries.
Take a detour and go through the marina... Several sea lions make
this area there home and caution should be exercised around their
resting spots since they weigh about 1,000+ pounds. Don't get to
close, although the smell will keep you away.
Hylebos
Waterway is an industrialized area with shipyards, lumberyards and
other industrial activity. It's a different kind of paddle
exploring the industrialized areas. |
