Destination Blake Island
Duration 4 Hours
Description Launch from Pomeroy State Park (next the pier in Manchester) and paddle across to Blake Island.  Paddle the north side going and come back via the South Side.  The beach at Blake is sandy and there is a very nice park at Blake with all the luxuries.  Going from Manchester cuts the crossing to less than 2 miles.  If you plan the currents and tides you can have a nice 2.5 kt push back to Manchester going around the south end.  There is some turbulence generated by the currents near the south west corner of the island but it is not very bad.
